Strategic Partnerships
Overview
The cornerstone of our success is the value we place on our strong relationships with partner universities and leading industry players. Our strategic and corporate partnerships support the university's involvement in industry and commercial growth which in return improves the quality of research and education we provide to our students.
Our students qualifications are recognised from leading universities in the UK and Australia. This gives them connections to develop alliances, opportunities and relationships, particularly in their final year, with supporting universities.
Our university placement team provides assistance to students who wish to transfer their credits into degree programmes with collaborating universities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Ireland, Myanmar and Korea.
Student Pathways to Partner Universities
APU has developed a series of opportunities with partner universities for students to transfer to undertake a partner degree. The university placement team will be able to advise on which type of pathway is available:
- APU Diploma into year 2 of a partner degree programme
- APU Degree year 1 into year 2 of a partner degree programme
- APU Degree year 2 into year 3 of a partner degree programme
NOTE TO STUDENTS
APU partner institutions are governed by their own local statutory and regulatory requirements, which are subject to change, and as such not all applications for credit transfer will be accepted due to the intake calendar and the nature of the changing curricula at both APU and the partner institution.
A student wishing to transfer to a partner institution may need to defer their studies if intake calendars do not align or when confirmed results from an APU external examination board are not available to meet timelines for the application process of the partner institution.
APU will provide students with:
An official APU transcript, following an APU external examination board, to demonstrate that:
- All year 1 modules have been passed for consideration to enter year 2 of the partner institution.
- All year 1 and year 2 modules have been passed for consideration to enter year 3 of the partner institution.
- An official record of any additionally required documentation requested by the partner institution (such as attendance records, records of academic misconduct, records of extra curricular activities ...)
The partner institution will:
Review all applications for credit transfer on an individual basis.
Make their final decision on accepting the transfer of credits based on an official APU transcript and any additional documentation that they require (such as attendance records, records of academic misconduct, records of extra curricular activities ...)
Determine if a relevant programme for credit transfer is scheduled to be delivered based on the partner institution's intake calendar.
Disclaimer:
- The final decision for credit transfer will be made by the partner institution.
- The partner institution reserves the right to adjust credit transfer decisions based on their programme needs and any changes to the curricula at either APU or the partner institution.
- Students should review the partner institution's most current policies and guidelines and consult with the relevant department for the partner institution if they need any clarification.
APU does not guarantee that a partner institution will approve all credit transfer requests.
